14th May

Intermediate Sea Kayaking - 5 Days

Based at a stunning location on the north of Skye this course will improve your paddling skills and confidence in wind and tide as well as expanding your knowledge of tides, navigation, rescues and emergency procedures.

BCU 4 Star Training - Sea - 3 Days

This three-day course will provide relevant training to allow paddlers to work towards sitting their BCU 4 Star Leader Assessment.

Introduction to Mountain Biking - 5 Days

Develop and practise skills such as climbing, descending, braking, balance, body position, riding simple obstacles as part of longer journeys, teaching as we go. This is the ideal course to help you get the most out of your bike and enjoy your riding.

Improver Navigation Skills - 1 Day

This course is the perfect step on from the Intro course and can be added on to make a two day course.  Introduces compass work, taking & following a bearing as well as route choice.

Introduction to Rock Climbing - 2 Days

A short but intensive course covering basic rope work, belaying, abseiling & movement techniques.

GPS for Beginners - 1 Day

Get started with the basic functions of GPS units and start to integrate them with a map.

This course is the perfect step on from the Intro course and can be added on to make a two day course.  Introduces compass work, taking & following a bearing as well as route choice.

Mountain Bike Leader Training - 2 Days

Second level of Mountain Bike Leader qualification which equips the cycle leader with all the skills and knowledge necessary to lead a group of mountain bikers in more serious and remote areas than the Trail Cycle Leader award.

Rock Climbing - 5 Days

Over the 5 days this course will cover rock climbing movement techniques, belaying, personal abseiling and there may be opportunities to experience multi pitch climbs.

Lead Climbing - 5 Days

Develop a confident and competent approach to leading summer climbs through placing protection; constructing belays; stance and rope management; leading and psychological coping strategies.

UKCC Level 1 Certificate in Coaching Paddlesport - 5 Days

The Level 1 Training and Assessment course is open to boat based and bank based coaches alike, and in any discipline of paddlesport, recreational or competitive.

UKCC Level 3 Certificate in Coaching Paddlesport Assessment - 1+ Days

This course will cover all aspects of the syllabus for the BCU (UKCC) Level 3 Certificate in Coaching Paddlesport Assessment.

Rock Improver - 5 Days

Develop techniques for climbing a variety of multi-pitch climbs including use of double rope technique, stance and rope management, different leading strategies, escaping routes and self-rescue techniques.

Trail Cycle Leader Training - 2 Days

First level of Mountain Bike Leader qualification which equips the cycle leader with all the skills and knowledge necessary to lead a group of mountain bikers in non serious and non remote areas.

Mountain Bike Leader Training - 2 Days

Second level of Mountain Bike Leader qualification which equips the cycle leader with all the skills and knowledge necessary to lead a group of mountain bikers in more serious and remote areas than the Trail Cycle Leader award.

Introduction to Sea Kayaking - 5 Days

First day is based in our indoor pool and on our local loch before we head west to our base at Inchree. The west coast gives us access to some of the best sea kayaking in the UK. Equipment, route planning basic strokes and emergency procedures are all covered.

BCU White Water Safety & Rescue - 2 Days

This course is a pre-requisite for the White Water Kayak and Canoe Four Star Leader Award, as well as being a course suitable for any active white water paddler

6th June

Mountain Bike Expedition Module Training - 2 Days

Bolt on training module for qualified TCL or MBL candidates. The course prepares the candidate for leading groups on self supported mountain biking expeditions, of one or more nights duration, within the terrain they are qualified in.

BCU 4 Star Training - White Water - 2 Days

This practical, discipline specific course will look at all aspects of the syllabus in your chosen craft.

8th June

Mountain Bike Maintenance - 1 Day

This is a one day course, which equips the Mountain Biker with all the necessary skills to set up, maintain and fix their bikes in the workshop or on the trail.

11th June

Hill Walking & Mountain Skills - 5 Days

Whilst exploring the Cairngorm Mountains and surrounding hills, this course covers hill walking equipment; emergency procedures; basic navigation and route planning.

Introduction to Scrambling - 5 Days

Course covers movement skills on rock in ascent and descent, route finding, basic rope skills using a sling and rope alone as well as selecting natural anchors.

UKCC Level 2 Certificate in Coaching Paddlesport Training - 5 Days

As a qualified BCU (UKCC) Level 2 Coach you will be able to work in a coaching capacity and lead groups in either kayak or canoe in a sheltered water environment.

BCU 3 Star Training, Assessment & Rolling Clinic - Sea - 5 Days

This five-day course will provide relevant training to allow paddlers to progress towards and hopefully pass their BCU 3 Star Sea Award.

14th June
