IS IT FOR ME?

If you’ve completed all the pre-requisites, checked in and you’re feeling ready for assessment, then this is the course for you.

CONTENT

We’ll catch up on-line in the run up to the assessment, to chat through your assessment discussion task, run through potential venues and decide how to structure the assessment to work for you.

On the assessment day you’ll coach a group of 2-4 students, either for or on grade 3(4) white water, for at least 90 minutes at your choice of venue. We’ll also take a look at rescues, personal paddling skills and discuss your coaching session together.

You can bring your own students. You’ll know them and be able to move quickly to coaching them. Or we can supply unknown students, in which case you’ll need to spend some time getting to know them and working out what they want and need.

If you don’t live close to Glenmore Lodge we may be able to travel to you and assess you in your normal coaching environment. Please contact us to arrange an assessment that works for you.
